Pedal your way through history. The Lehigh Gorge Rail Trail runs through the Lehigh Gorge State park in the Pocono Mountains. This trail offers breathtaking scenery and an easy riding surface. Whether you are a diehard biker or haven't been on a bike for years this is a pleasurable ride. You can choose a 26 or 13 mile self guided tour of amazing mountain scenery that winds itself along the Lehigh River.
     

The trail is made of a fine stone and features a 2% down grade. This is a 3 to 5 hour biking excursion. We provide all shuttles to and from the trail. As you peddle at your own pace you will have the opportunity to explore the ruined locks of the former Lehigh Canal and you'll be amazed at the fantastic rock formations that are visible from the biking trail. Biking on the trail in the spring is a great way to appreciate the awe-inspiring beauty of the blooming mountain laurels, the fresh scent of spring air and the refreshing sound of rushing water from the near by Lehigh River. There is no better way to get a glimpse of the local birds and abundant wildlife. Bring your binoculars. You⤙d be surprised at some of the animals you might see. Biking along the Lehigh River in the summer is a memorable experience. Ride along the trail and witness the excitement of the whitewater rafters. Frolic and cool off in the many winding crystal clear streams and pristine water falls that feed into the river. Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic along the river bank or at one of the many picnic areas. Ride the rail trail through the Lehigh Gorge in the fall and watch the blazing colors of the fall foliage come to life as the sun peeks through the leaves and bounces off the water. Be sure to bring a camera. You will want to capture this view!
